That's quiet a set even though many of them are modern comics. Why would I sell them you ask? As I mentioned previously I was starting to lose track of my collection and it was time to start cleaning house.

We started the offer at $100 knowing that we would be talked down. Pretty early on we got an offer for $50 and although it was less than I wanted, I was ready to take it. My wife however decided to continue the bartering and unfortunately they bowed out. Whammy! Like a kryptonite knife through Superman!

It seemed like we were doomed, but wait...

We had a buyer offer $75 and then pick them up the same day. For good measure I also threw in Where Monsters Dwell #15 and Weird Worlds #5 which I had trouble selling recently on eBay.

And with that, over half of my uncle's collection was gone. I thought it was going to be tough to do given how much effort and money he had put into the collection and my desire to do right by him. But honestly he doesn't care about the comics anymore so for me there was little sadness. I was selling off things I didn't need that had become a distraction in order to focus on the things that mattered.

Kinda like my version of Matthew 5:29. So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

Although I didn't have to cut out my eye. Just get ride of what my eye was distracted by. Same result, less mess.
